Set in the southwest of the Japanese archipelago,
facing the calm Seto Inland Sea to the north
and the vast Pacific Ocean to the south,
with the rugged Shikoku Mountains running through its heart,
Shikoku is the most compact of Japan's four main islands.
Tokushima, Kagawa, Ehime, and Kochi each have their own landscapes,
characters, and cultures. Together,
they make Shikoku unlike anywhere else in Japan.

An epic pilgrimage connecting 88 sacred temples, said to have been founded over 1,200 years ago by the great Buddhist master Kobo Daishi (Kukai).A spirit of hospitality has embraced wayfarers for centuries, making the entire island feel like home. The journey offers new encounters and the quiet space to look within.
